Please dress comfortably. Children are welcome to worship with the gathered community or to participate in SpiritJam. Nursery care is available. Our services are looped for the hearing impaired. Feel free to sit, stand, or move around during worship.

Worship services have an arc: we gather, we call one another into community, we sing, we find a way into silence, we listen to stories, we are challenged, inspired, and nurtured through music and words, we are sent forth reminded of who we are. We move into the world empowered and transformed by love to serve.

Welcome / Invitation to Community
Chalice Lighting – The chalice is the symbol of Unitarian Universalism
Introit (Choir)– A sung invitation to Worship
Gathering Breath – The way we allow ourselves to be present
Call to Worship – An invitation to enter into worship
Invocation– Sung by the congregation
The Story – For all Ages
SpiritJam Recessional – Children and Adults who wish, exit to SpiritJam Activities for Faith Formation
Meditation / Prayer – A time to center
Musical Reflection / Hymn Singing our way out of meditation or prayer
Reading(s)– Words that set the stage for the sermon
Sermon– Literally “a stringing together of words” – approximately 18-20 minutes long
Musical Response – A way to allow the sermon to sink in
Offering – The gift of the labor of our lives in support of the work of the church
Offertory/Anthem – Sung appreciation for the gifts that have been offered
Words of Gratitude – Words of gratitude for the gifts that have been given
Closing Hymn – Preparation to go forth
Chalice Extinguishing / Benediction – The sending forth
