The Community Offering Committee organizes donations to nonprofits that embody our congregation’s principles and allow us to practice generosity. On the first two Sundays of each month, one organization receives all of our contributions. On the other Sundays of the month, we give to our church’s general fund.

March's Community Offering

The community offering for March 3 and 10 will be given to César Chávez Elementary School for a special assistance fund.  It provides help with glasses, medicines, shoes, groceries: whatever the student needs to stay in school.  It also helps with registration fees for sports or music classes for students and anything to get students active and engaged in extracurricular activities.

Many of us at UUCE have connections with other schools in the area, but Chávez is our neighborhood school, located just two blocks south of us. Its students are our neighbors. We are supporting César Chávez School to be a good neighbor and to strengthen our neighborhood.
