Mitchell T. Davey, Choir Director
Mitchell T. Davey has been the Choir Director at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Eugene since 2019 where he conducts the Sanctuary Choir and the Chamber Singers in weekly rehearsals and services. He previously served as founding Artistic Director of the Spokane Spectrum Singers, an all-inclusive, intergenerational choir in Spokane, Washington. Davey is an active composer of both text and music, having written in a wide variety of styles across multiple genres.
His choral music has been performed and premiered by choirs throughout the Northwestern United States, including Spokane Kantorei (“This Heritage of Heart”), Gonzaga University Choirs and Pacific Youth Choirs (“Emlanjeni”), and Chorale Coeur d’Alene (“Winter-Song”). His most recent art songs, “Look Up!” and “Everlasting Here,” were premiered by world-renowned sopranos Estelí Gomez and Arwen Myers, respectively. Davey completed a B.A. in Music Composition at Gonzaga University where he studied composition with Kevin Waters and conducting with Timothy Westerhaus. He is currently completing a M.M. in Music Composition at the University of Oregon where he studies with Robert Kyr and sings in the University of Oregon Chamber Singers under Sharon Paul. His music is published by MTD Music.

Susanne provides accompaniment for the UUCE choirs on piano and pipe organ. She also provides some of the other music of sunday services, either solo piano or organ, or in duet with another UUCE instrumental musician.
