Based on the best-selling book “The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity” by Julia Cameron, this 8-session series is designed to help the participant tap into their natural creativity, curiosity, and artistry. Lynzie Kronheim is a life coach and artist and has taught this series in many different settings, bringing more joy and creative expression to the lives of countless students. She supplies all of the materials. Each session is $20; each lesson is priceless

 

 

Adult OWL – Our Whole Lives

Our Whole Lives models caring, compassion, respect, and justice in all our relationships. OWL addresses topics typically excluded from sexuality education and health classes, including sexual expression, identity, orientation, and life issues for adults of all ages. Consisting of twelve sessions, workshop titles include: Adults & Sexuality, Mind and Body, Sexual Pleasure, Keeping Your Body Healthy, Exploring Gender, Sexual Orientation, Relationships, Love & Commitment, Boundaries & Boundary Violations, Family Matters, Sexual Fantasy & Variation, Advocacy & Education.

Join us to gain information, boost self-knowledge, enhance sexual safety, and strengthen social skills. Interactive, inclusive, welcoming, and fun!

It’s Harry’s second year at Hogwarts, and we are thrilled to join him and explore his world through the theme of innocence, shame, recognition, belonging and more! Based on the podcast “Harry Potter and the Sacred Text,” together we read the books we love, looking deeper into the texts for their sacred meaning. Moving Meditation with Barbara Flitcroft

Wednesdays, ongoing – 10:00-11:00am – UUCE Chapel

A series of unanticipated events impacted Barbara’s life, causing a sense of overwhelm.  In response, she decided to explore a variety of mental and physical exercises to help her cope with life’s stresses. After practicing as a student, she eventually started leading a Tai Chi class at Hillsboro Park and Rec center.  She worked to weave aspects of Tai Chi, Yoga, Qi Gong together into a new form called Moving Meditation.  Join her and learn what gentle moving meditation can bring to your sense of well-being.  Childcare is available upon request.

 

 

Examining Whiteness

Thursday afternoons: Jan 10 and 24, Feb 14 and 28, March 14 and 28, April 11 and 25

 This eight part curriculum explores the following topics: Racism and white supremacy throughout American history, Race “science” and white supremacy, The racial identity journey of the UUA, White power and privilege, Racial identity development, The emotional lives of white people, The anatomy of white guilt, and Developing a positive white identity. Join us for this learning experience.

We will meet twice a month for four months beginning in January 2019 where we will discuss this course material from the UUA. The group will be led by trained facilitators. Pre-registration is required.
