Justice Network
Justice Network Mission
Inspired by our UU principles and our Church Mission statement, UUCE Justice Network provides support for UUCE, Interfaith and some community groups that advance social and environmental justice through advocacy, education and collaboration.
- THAT’S MY FARMER is an interfaith partnership with several area farms. Its mission is to encourage people to buy direct from Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) farms.
- FOOD FOR LANE COUNTY (food bank donations, education and volunteers)
- CROP WALK AGAINST HUNGER (fundraising for local and international hunger agencies)
- HEALTH CARE FOR ALL OREGON (Eugene) (single payer efforts)
HOMELESSNESS
- Square One Villages (includes Opportunity village) http://www.squareonevillages.org/
- Conestoga Huts – Eugene City Council approved Conestoga Huts as part of St. Vincent de Paul’s Camping Program. UUCE is a host site for three Huts.
- Community Supported Shelters works with local businesses, organizations, and volunteers to build these small dwellings for homeless people.
INTERFAITH EARTHKEEPERS A group from about a dozen congregations working together to address the serious environmental issues we face.
