Ongoing – Sunday mornings, 11:20 am-12:20 pm – Minister’s Office

The Inquirers Series is offered every Sunday in the Minister’s Office to welcome newcomers into the congregation. Eight topics are covered, one per session, and repeated throughout the year. Designed for drop-in attendance, the goal of this series is to help make our church values and culture transparent and known so that people can make an informed decision about membership in our church, to introduce newcomers to church staff, ministers, and lay leaders, and to create safe space for people to ask questions and learn more about Unitarian Universalism and the UUCE.

This informational and interactive class is held at least twice a year, in the fall and spring.  It is highly popular, so don’t delay in registering!  (childcare available upon request at registration)

Journey to Belonging

Want to learn more about this church and the history of Unitarian Universalism? Looking to discover the programs this church has to offer? Are you interested in becoming a member of UUCE?

The Newcomers’ Orientation is just for you! For more information, visit the table in the Social Hall at the church or contact Erin Troberg at 541-344-8259

Even if you have been a member of other UU congregations, you’ll find this series a great way to begin to be part of this community, with new friends.

In these sessions you’ll learn of the highlights of the Unitarian Universalist history, philosophy and principles.  There will be time for asking questions, and for sharing with other newcomers your spiritual journey, religious ideas and values.  This can help you identify what you are looking for in a church home, as you learn more about UUCE’s traditions, mission, programs and guidelines.

Is Attendance Required?

Attendance at Newcomer Orientation is not required to become a member.  But we believe that joining this church is an important decision, so we don’t want newcomers to rush into membership. We encourage you to take your time, and strongly encourage you to attend, to develop a stronger part in our community
